چکیده

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the representation energy budget for irrigated maize crops in soil–vegetation–atmosphere transfer (SVAT) models. To end, a comparison between original version interactions soil–biosphere–atmosphere (ISBA) model based on single-surface balance and new ISBA-multi-energy (ISBA-MEB) option was carried out. second analyze intra- inter-seasonal variability crop water by implementing ISBA ISBA-MEB over six seasons 2008 2019 Lamasquère, southwest France. Seasonal dynamics convective fluxes were properly reproduced both models with R2 ranging 0.66 0.80 (RMSE less than 59 W m−2) sensible heat flux 0.77 0.88 latent flux. Statistical metrics also showed that seasons, turbulent fluxes, consistently better agreement situ measurements RMSE 8–30% lower ISBA, particularly when canopy heterogeneous. ability partition evapotranspiration (ET) term soil evaporation plant transpiration acceptable as predictions compared very well available sap flow during summer 2015; (ISBA-MEB had slightly statistics 0.91 value 0.07 mm h−1). Finally, results from analysis inter-annual can be summarized follows: (1) partitioning ET revealed strong year-to-year 40% 67% total ET, while dominant 2010 due late poor development; (2) drainage losses are close null because an impervious layer at 60 cm depth; (3) specific condition limited irrigation scheduling always extract stored root zone.

Comparing Evapotranspiration from Eddy Covariance Measurements, Water Budgets, Remote Sensing, and Land Surface Models over Canada

This study compares six evapotranspiration ET products for Canada’s landmass, namely, eddy covariance EC measurements; surface water budget ET; remote sensing ET from MODIS; and land surface model (LSM) ET from the Community Land Model (CLM), the Ecological Assimilation of Land and Climate Observations (EALCO) model, and the Variable Infiltration Capacity model (VIC). The ET climatology over th...

Prediction of Land Use Change and its Hydrological Effects Using Markov Chain Model and SWAT Model

Access to current and future water resources is one of the concerned problems for managers and policymakers around the world. Because of the communication between water resources and land use, these two topics had come together in different researches. Scenarios designed in regional land planning provide the basis for analyzing the existing opportunities and making the right decisions for manag...

Eddy covariance and biometric measurements show that a savanna ecosystem in Southwest China is a carbon sink

Savanna ecosystems play a crucial role in the global carbon cycle. However, there is a gap in our understanding of carbon fluxes in the savanna ecosystems of Southeast Asia. In this study, the eddy covariance technique (EC) and the biometric-based method (BM) were used to determine carbon exchange in a savanna ecosystem in Southwest China. The BM-based net ecosystem production (NEP) was 0.96 tC...

Hydrological assessment of atmospheric forcing uncertainty in the Euro-Mediterranean area using a land surface model

The understanding of land surface hydrology is critical for planning human activities involving freshwater 10 resources. We assess how atmospheric forcing data uncertainties affect land surface model (LSM) simulations by means of an extensive evaluation exercise using a number of state-of-the-art remote sensing and station-based datasets. For this purpose, we use the CO2-responsive ISBA-A-gs LS...
